1996 Graduated from Tokyo Zokei (creating art and design) University. Apprenticed to the theatrical designer Rumi Matsui
2003 Trained in Kingdom of the Netherlands for 1 year as part of a Cultural Affairs Study Abroad Program for Artists by the Japanese Government
2005 Started work as a freelanced theatrical designer
2005 Awarded the 33rd Kisaku Ito Newcomer Award - Scenic design for "Oryunooba Monogatari", performed by Theatre Group 'En' along with two other works.
2008 Awarded the 15th Yomiuri Outstanding Theatrical Staff Award - Scenic Design for "Der Process" and "Der Verschollene", performed in Setagaya Public Theater, Tokyo
2010 Awarded the 17th Yomiuri Outstanding Staff Award - Scenic and Costume Design for "Shoot the Crow", performed in the New National Theatre (The PIT), Tokyo and Scenic Design for "Lear by Edward Bond", performed in the Matsumoto Public Art Hall, Nagano
2009 Part-time lecturer of Musical Theater at Showa University of Music
2014 Part-time lecturer of Theater at Tokyo Zokei University (term ends in 2022)
2014 Awarded the 41st Kisaku Ito Award - Scenic Design for "Sanada jyu yushi", performed in ACT Theatre
2014 Awarded the 49th Kinokuniya Theater Award - Individual Awards for "Manila Mizuhoki", by New National Theatre and "Old Refrain" by Yukiza Productions.
2020 Part-time lecturer of Theater at Nihon University College of Art
2020 Established Atelier of Ito Masako Co. on December 25
2021 Part-time lecturer at Kyoritsu Women's University
2022 Awarded the 29th Yomiuri Theater Award for Outstanding Staff at the New National Theatre in Tokyo for "Reaction Process" by Sith Company, "Friends" by Parco and "Julius Caesar".
2023 Became a Qualified Cultural Curator, Tamagawa University
